Biological Engineering Leadership Award
The Biological Engineering Leadership Award was established in 2011 to recognize individuals who demonstrate leadership in the field of Biological Engineering and advance the mission of the Institute of Biological Engineering. The award recognized the achievements of the recipient in research, education, professional practice, and service to the Institute. The recipient of this Award should be a member of IBE in the year it was awarded. The Award is given only as deemed appropriate.
The nomination materials should include:
- A nomination statement (of no more than 2 pages) which addresses the objectives of the Award, and
- Letters (each of no more than 2 pages) from three thought-leaders in the biological engineering community who can communicate on the leadership of the nominee. At least, one of the letters should be from a current member of IBE.
The Selection Committee, in consultation with the President and previous Award recipients, will select an Awardee.
The recipient of the Award will be invited to the IBE Annual Meeting in the Spring for the presentation of the Award and recognition of her/his achievements in biological engineering.
